Japanese Pieris is a four-season evergreen star — cascading chains of bell-shaped flowers in early spring, brilliant red or bronze new growth in spring, glossy green summer foliage, and flower buds forming in fall for next year's show. 'Mountain Fire' has the most intense red new growth. It's like a more elegant azalea.
