Austrian Pine

Pinus nigra

Austrian Pine is the toughest pine for urban and suburban landscapes — tolerant of clay, drought, alkaline soil, salt, wind, and pollution where white pine and Scotch pine fail. Dense, dark green needles create a bold, formal look. Excellent windbreak and screening tree for challenging Midwest sites.
