Leyland Cypress is the fastest privacy screen in the South — growing 3-4 feet per year into a dense wall of soft, feathery evergreen foliage. A row of Leylands can block an unsightly view or noisy neighbor in just 2-3 years. It handles heat, drought, and salt spray. The most popular screening tree in zones 7-10.

Care Guide

Plant in full sun. Space 6-8 feet apart for a solid screen. Water deeply during establishment. Trim once or twice a year to maintain density. Watch for bagworms and Seiridium canker. Don't plant in poorly drained soil. Provide adequate spacing from structures — they get large.
